Salmon & Asparagus Recipe using the Duronic AF34 Air Fryer
Salmon fillets become exceptionally delightful when cooked in an air fryer, as the rapid air circulation method ensures they are evenly cooked to perfection, enhancing their natural flavours without drying them out. The herb seasoning adds a layer of aromatic complexity that complements the rich, oily texture of the salmon, making each bite a harmonious blend of crisp exterior and tender, moist interior. Serving these fillets with greens and grains not only rounds out the meal nutritionally but also introduces a variety of textures and flavours, making the dish both wholesome and satisfying. Ingredients:
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp mixed herbs
1 tsp garlic granules (optional)
4 salmon fillets (we used 4 x 130g fillets), skin on or removed
½ tbsp olive oil
½ tbsp lemon juice
cooked seasonal greens to serve (we used asparagus)
Preparation Instructions:
Seasoning Mix: In a bowl, blend together a teaspoon each of salt, pepper, mixed herbs, olive oil, lemon juice and optionally, garlic granules.
Prepare Salmon: Lightly brush each of the salmon fillets with the mixed seasoning. Also brush the asparagus with the same bowl of seasoning.
Cooking: Place the salmon and asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Set the air fryer to 180°C and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, until the salmon is thoroughly cooked. For larger fillets, extend the cooking time, checking every 1-2 minutes until done.
Serving: Accompany the salmon with seasonal greens.
Enjoy!
